The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 24) that the following beaches are temporarily closed for shark prevention net maintenance until further notice. These beaches include Silverstrand Beach, Clear Water Bay First Beach and Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung District; Hung Shing Yeh Beach, Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach, Pui O Beach, Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach and Tong Fuk Beach in Islands District; Chung Hom Kok Beach, St Stephen's Beach, Stanley Main Beach, Turtle Cove Beach and Shek O Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island. Big Wave Bay Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island, has also been temporarily closed from yesterday until further notice for maintenance of its shark prevention net.
