The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:
Application for the Sale of Surplus Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) flats Phase 4 will close tomorrow (September 23).
Mr Wong Bay, Assistant Director of Housing (Housing Subsidies), reminded eligible applicants,"A wide selection of flats of different sizes, layout designs and prices at various locations are available under this sales exercise to cater for the needs of different families. Eligible people who want to become flat owners by way of HOS should make use of this opportunity."
A total of 3,221 flats are on offer in this phase, comprising 2,268 unsold flats (640 flats in Tung Tao Court, Stage II, Shau Kei Wan; 344 flats in King Hin Court, Wong Tai Sin; and 1,284 flats in Kam Fung Court, Ma On Shan) and 953 resale flats scattered in Tin Fu Court, Tin Shui Wai and other courts throughout the territory.
Sales information and application forms can be obtained at the Housing Authority Customer Service Centre (HACSC) in Lok Fu, public rental housing estates offices, Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre and Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department. Sales information can also be viewed and application forms downloaded from the Housing Authority/Housing Department website (www.housingauthority.gov.hk).
Eligible applicants should submit their application forms and necessary documents to the respective estate offices or the HACSC on or before September 23. For applications sent by post, the date of the postal chop on the envelope will be regarded as the date of submission.
Mr Wong said he expected ballots to be drawn in early October to determine the flat selection sequence of applicants while flat selection will begin at the end of October.
During the flat selection process, prospective buyers who have successfully selected a returned flat can visit the flat before signing the Agreement for Sale and Purchase. The on-site show flats in Tung Tao Court, King Hin Court, Kam Fung Court and Tin Fu Court will be closed temporarily after September 23 but will be reopened to public about one week prior to flat selection.
