Upgrading of Tai Kong Po Access Road in Pat Heung, Yuen Long, gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (September 12) on upgrading the Tai Kong Po Access Road in Pat Heung, Yuen Long.

     The proposed works include widening of a section of the existing Kong Tai Road of about 700-metres long to a 3.5m wide single-lane carriageway for two-way traffic with an adjoining 1.6m wide footpath; temporary or permanent closure and reconstruction or resurface of sections of the existing carriageways and footpaths; and ancillary works such as drainage, construction of passing bays and retaining walls.

     The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(i) Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii) Yuen Long District Office, Public Enquiry Services Centre, Ground Floor, Yuen Long District Office Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long; and

(iii) District Lands Office, Yuen Long, 9th Floor, Yuen Long Government Offices, 2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long.

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before November 11.
