Following is the transcript (English portion) of the remarks made by the Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, at a media session at the ground floor lobby of the Central Government Offices, East Wing this morning (August 5):
Secretary for Security: We are very concerned about the explosion in Kashgar yesterday. We condemn this kind of violent act leading to deaths and injuries. We are now liaising with relevant law enforcement agencies both on the Mainland as well as overseas. We are also analysing intelligence gathered and we will review our risk assessment. I can assure the Hong Kong public that Hong Kong is still a very, very safe city. We are confident that we have the capability to host very safe Equestrian Events in Hong Kong.
