Hongkong Post today (June 25) announced that for the issue of a set of special stamps with the theme of ¡§Giant Pandas¡¨ on July 1 (HKSAR Establishment Day), the normal holiday arrangement with two post offices (The General Post Office and the Airport Post Office) opened to provide services would be strengthened. On July 1, 37 philatelic offices will open to sell the ¡§Giant Pandas¡¨ special stamps and associated products. The General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin Central Post Offices will open from 9am to 5pm, and the Airport Post Office from 8am to 5pm. The other 32 philatelic offices will open from 9am to 2pm.
There will be no mail delivery on July 1. However, one mail collection will be arranged on that day for all street posting boxes except those on outlying islands and in remote areas.
