The Government today (June 6) published a notice in the Gazette on connecting of the existing cycle tracks in Tuen Mun, Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long, Sheung Shui/Fanling, Tai Po and Shatin.
The works include constructing approximately 21 kilometres of cycle tracks along Kam Tin River, Ngau Tam Mei Drainage Channel, Castle Peak Road, Mai Po San Tsuen, San Tin Tsuen Road, Sheung Yue River, Shek Sheung River, Fanling Highway and Tai Po Road; widening or extension of sections of the existing cycle tracks; constructing cycle track associated facilities including entry/exit hubs, cycle parking and resting stations; constructing sections of roads, footpaths/staircases, bus lay-by, bridges/ramps and car parking spaces; and ancillary works such as constructing retaining structures, and installing traffic aids.
Some sections of the existing roads, footpaths/staircases, footbridge, car parking spaces, cycle tracks, tracks and bus lay-by will be temporarily closed or permanently closed and demolished.
The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(ix) District Lands Office, North, 6th Floor, North District Government Offices, 3 Pik Fung Road, Fanling;

(xi) District Lands Office, Shatin, 11th Floor, Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before August 5.
