Voter registration to end Friday

    Eligible people who want to vote in the Legislative Council election in September must submit their applications for voter registration by Friday (May 16).

    For registered electors, the deadline to report any change of address or other registration particulars to the Registration and Electoral Office (REO) is June 30.

    Relevant forms for voter registration and report of change in registration particulars can be downloaded from the voter registration website (www.voterregistration.gov.hk). They can also be obtained from District Offices, post offices, management offices of public housing estates, and the REO.

    Applications can be submitted by mail to the REO at 10/F, Guardian House, 32 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai, or by fax to 2891 1180.

    Hong Kong permanent residents holding an identity document who have reached 18 years of age and ordinarily reside in Hong Kong are eligible to be registered as electors.

    Applicants should call the hotline 2891 1001, if they do not receive any reply from the REO within 14 days after they submit their applications.
