Construction of Lok On Pai Salt Water Pumping Station

    The Government intends to construct a seawater intake culvert of about 360 square metres and conduct associated modification works of the adjacent seawall within an area of approximately 1,160 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed at Lok On Pai, Tuen Mun, to provide an intake for a pumping station to supply salt water for flushing to Tin Shui Wai, the eastern part of Tuen Mun New Town and Tuen Mun East areas.

    The work is scheduled to begin at the end of this year and be completed by 2011.

    The extent of the area affected is described in a notice published in the Gazette today (May 9).

    The notice together with its related plan can be seen near the site. The plan can also be seen at the Lands Department Survey and Mapping Office, 23rd Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point and at the Tuen Mun District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, 2nd Floor, Tuen Mun Government Offices, 1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun.

    Any person who considers that they have an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, on or before July 9.
