The Lands Department registered 19 lease modifications and one land exchange in the Land Registry during the quarter ending March, 2008, of which 11 were for residential purpose and nine for non-residential development.
Among these 20 land transactions, six are located on Hong Kong Island, 12 in Kowloon and two in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
Another five lots were granted by private treaty during the period. One was for religious use in Diamond Hill and the other four were granted to the Hong Kong Housing Authority.
A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (April 15) that the 25 land transactions realised a total land premium of about $1.1 billion.
Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants are uploaded onto Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Further case details may also be obtained by searching the registered documents in the Land Registry.
