The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has organised roving exhibitions in the 18 districts with the first one mounted at the Central Lawn of Victoria Park today (March 14) to enhance the public interest in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay, spread the Olympic spirit and further boost the Olympic atmosphere in the community.
The roving exhibitions feature display panels, video shows, interactive computer games, quizzes and photo gallery, introducing the origin and meaning of the Olympic Torch Relay, Olympic spirit and motto, characteristics of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and the route of the torch relay in Hong Kong.
Visitors can also write their greetings and support to the Beijing Olympic Games on cards and place them on a wishing tree in the park.
A sculpture of the five rings of the Olympic Games and a model of the Olympic torch were erected for visitors to take photos.
The exhibition at Victoria Park will last until March 24. It will then be staged at various districts between late March and early May.
