SCED expresses great regret on death of Lydia Shum

    The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Frederick Ma, today (February 19) expressed great regret over the death of Ms Lydia Shum.

    Mr Ma said, “Lydia started her career in the performing arts industry in the 60s as a child actress and she made a tremendous contribution over the past 40 years. Her pleasant and cheerful image brought laughter to audiences. With her death, Hong Kong has lost an outstanding comedian and programme host. On behalf of the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, I offer deepest condolences to Ms Shum’s family.”
