The Lands Department today (February 18) announced that the tender for three petrol filling stations at San Fung Avenue, Sheung Shui, New Territories (Fanling Sheung Shui Town Lot No. 235), Peak Road, Hong Kong (Rural Building Lot No. 1184) and Castle Peak Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories (Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 504) had been collectively awarded to Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited (parent company: China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation) on a 21-year land grant at a total premium of $408 million.
"Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the sites to the highest tenderer," a government spokesman said.
The successful tender was submitted on the basis of a single amount of tender premium for the purchase of all the three sites collectively as one package. These three sites are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol filling stations.
