The Immigration Department today (February 1) announced that new application forms for the employment of domestic helpers from abroad (Form Nos. ID 988A and ID 988B) would be introduced on Monday (February 4). Form ID 988A is for completion by the foreign domestic helper and form ID 988B is for the employer.
An Immigration Department spokesman said the new simplified application forms were more user-friendly to foreign domestic helpers and employers.
The new application forms can be obtained free of charge from the Information and Liaison Section, Immigration Department, or any Immigration Branch Office. The application forms can also be downloaded from the Immigration Department website at www.immd.gov.hk.
The existing forms for the employment of domestic helpers from abroad will continue to be accepted until April 30.
