Police today (January 3) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin on December 31, 2007, in which an 80-year-old woman was injured and later died in hospital.
About 1pm, a light goods vehicle driven by a 37-year-old man was travelling east in Ming Fung Street. When turning right into Sheung Fung Street, the vehicle hit the woman who was crossing the road.
She sustained head injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 6.13pm.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon East are proceeding.
