Approved Tai Po Outline Zoning Plan amended

    The Town Planning Board today (December 21) announced amendments to the approved Tai Po Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

     The amendments include mainly zoning amendments to rezone various areas at Tai Po Kau to "Conservation Area" ("CA"), a Grade II historic building "Tai Po Lookout" to "Other Specified Uses" ("OU") annotated "Historical Building Preserved for Cultural and Community Uses", a small piece of land at Yuen Chau Tsai to "Government, Institution or Community(1)" and various "Open Space" sites to other appropriate zonings to reflect the as-built situation.

     There are also zoning amendments and some technical boundary adjustments to reflect the latest land use proposals and completed developments. Corresponding amendments are made to the Notes, and there are also some technical amendments to the Notes for the "OU(Business)" zone.  

     The draft Tai Po OZP No. S/TP/20, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the secretariat of the board, the planning enquiry counters in the North Point and Sha Tin Government Offices, the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office, the Tai Po District Office and the Tai Po Rural Committee.

     Any person may make written representations in respect of the amendments to the secretary of the board on or before February 21, 2008.  Representations made to the board will be made available for public inspection.
