The Immigration Department will launch its annual courtesy campaign tomorrow (19 November).
A spokesman for the department said that the campaign, which aimed to encourage immigration control officers to deliver courteous and efficient service to the public, would be conducted from November 19-25 at the 11 immigration control points.
"During the campaign, travellers may cast their votes for the control officers who perform commendable immigration clearance services for them. Voters can get a ballot form from the immigration staff, fill in their own names, travel document or Hong Kong identity card numbers, date and also the officer's name, and then put the form into the ballot boxes placed behind the immigration counters at the control points," the spokesman said.
"With the e-Channel service available at the 11 control points, e-Channel users who find our staff helpful and courteous in assisting them to use the automated service may also vote for them," the spokesman said.
The campaign will be publicised at the immigration control points during the voting period.
The immigration control officer who gets the highest number of votes will be appointed Hong Kong Courtesy Ambassador by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
