The Financial Secretary has appointed Mr Peter Raymond Griffiths and Ms Cynthia Tang Yuen Shun as members to the Market Misconduct Tribunal, under the authority delegated by the Chief Executive, for proceedings in relation to possible market misconduct in the listed securities of Sunny Global Holdings Limited in 2003.
Appointment of the two members was made pursuant to section 251(2) of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571) and sections 4 and 5 of Schedule 9 to the Ordinance.
Mr Griffiths is the General Counsel of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Ms Tang is a practising solicitor and a partner of Messrs Baker & McKenzie. They are familiar with the operation of Hong Kong's financial markets.
They will sit on the tribunal under the chairmanship of Mr Justice Lunn, Judge of the Court of First Instance of the High Court.
The hearing will start at 4.30pm on Monday (November 5) at the Market Misconduct Tribunal in Room 702, Tower Two, Lippo Centre, 89 Queensway, Hong Kong.
