SLW to visit Tin Shui Wai
*************************

The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, will listen to the views of Tin Shui Wai residents at a public forum in Tin Shui Wai tomorrow night (October 30).

The public forum, to be held in the school hall of Queen Elizabeth School Old Students' Association Secondary School at 8pm, will come after Mr Cheung's visits in the afternoon to the Social Welfare Department's Family and Child Protective Services Unit and the Integrated Family Service Centre run by the Caritas in Tin Shui Estate as well as meetings with members of the Yuen Long District Management Committee, school principals, representatives of Non-Government Organisations, area committee members, local concern groups, church groups and community leaders.

The visit tomorrow is on the heels of Mr Cheung's visit to the district last Saturday during which he visited the Community Health Intervention Project run by the Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention in Tin Wah Estate, the Integrated Family Service Centre (IFSC) run by the Social Welfare Department in Tin Shui Wai South, the IFSC operated by the International Social Services in Tin Yuet Estate, as well as the Tin Shui Wai Woman Association and its Mutual Help Child Care Centre.

"My visit to Tin Shui Wai last Saturday was most useful. I look forward to more in-depth discussions with various groups and people during my visit to the district tomorrow, especially to meeting and listening to the views of residents," Mr Cheung said.
