The trial extension of opening hours of public libraries in Sai Kung district supported financially by the Sai Kung District Council will end on October 29. The normal opening hours of Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O Public Libraries will resume from October 30.
The two libraries extended their opening hours to provide services on library closing days on a trial basis from June 4 to October 29. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will review the scheme when it ends and report to the Sai Kung District Council.
Opening hours of the two libraries from October 30 are as follows:
Sai Kung Public Library:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9am-8pm
Thursday: Closed
Saturday: 9am-7pm
Sunday and Public Holiday: 9am-5pm
Students' Study Room:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9am-10pm
Same opening hours as the public library on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays
Tseung Kwan O Public Library:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9am-8pm
Saturday: 9am-7pm
Sunday and Public Holiday: 9am-5pm
Students' Study Room:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9am-10pm
Same opening hours as the public library on Monday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays
