More than 170 disciplined staff of the Immigration Department were awarded Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service Medals and Clasps today (September 20). Another 166 disciplined staff received medals or clasps in a ceremony on Monday (September 17).
Awards were presented at Immigration Headquarters today by Assistant Director (Visa and Policies) Ms Helen Chan Wing-mui.
Ms Chan expressed her appreciation to the recipients of the awards who had dedicated long years of loyal service to the department, displaying exemplary performance.
The award of the Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service Medals and Clasps was to honour those with exemplary character and conduct who had rendered long and meritorious service as members of the Immigration Service.
Senior Immigration Officer (Records and Data Management Section) Mr Yip Ka-ming and 22 other officers were awarded the first clasps to their medals for 25 years of dedicated service with the department.
A total of 151 other officers received the Hong Kong Immigration Long Service Medals which marked 18 years of service.
Ms Chan congratulated all recipients and thanked them for their many years of loyalty and dedication to the Immigration Service.
