The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (September 18) obtained an order in the District Court for payment of outstanding MPF contributions at about $100,000 against an employer.
The District Court today issued a judgment against Chong Ting Man trading as Dosage Company. The defendant was ordered to pay the MPFA $100,878.54, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to three employees of the defendant.
The amount awarded will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as it is received by the MPFA. The District Court further ordered the defendant to pay costs of $930.
