The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Frederick Ma, is attending the 19th Ministerial Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) starting in Sydney today (September 5). During the two-day meeting, ministers will exchange views on measures to strengthen the multilateral trading system and to promote regional economic integration. The ministers will also discuss issues on economic reform, APEC reform, anti-corruption, and economic and technical co-operation. Mr Ma also took the opportunity to meet the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Mr Pascal Lamy, to exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
