The Chief Executive has appointed Mr Michael Sze Tsai Ping and Ms Cynthia Lam Kit Lan as members to the Market Misconduct Tribunal to inquire into possible market misconduct in the listed securities of QPL International Holdings Limited in 2003.
Appointment of the two members was made pursuant to section 251(2) of the Securities and Futures Ordinance and sections 4 and 5 of Schedule 9 to the Ordinance.
Mr Sze is a certified public accountant and is the Vice-chairman of Baron Capital Limited. Ms Lam is the Director of Bloomberg Tradebook Hong Kong Limited. Both are familiar with the operation of Hong Kong's financial markets.
They will sit on the tribunal under the chairmanship of the Honourable Mr Justice Lunn, Judge of the Court of First Instance of the High Court.
The preliminary hearing will start at 9.30am on Monday (September 3) at the Market Misconduct Tribunal in Room 702, Tower Two, Lippo Centre, 89 Queensway, Hong Kong.
