The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
The Legislative Council Panel on Commerce and Industry (CI Panel) and Panel on Economic Services (ES Panel) will conduct a 12-day overseas duty visit to Dubai, Europe and the United States from August 21 to September 1, 2007.
The purpose of the visit is for Members to obtain first-hand information on the development of convention and exhibition facilities and cruise terminal facilities in these places.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with the relevant authorities and government officials, and visit the convention and exhibition facilities as well as cruise ports and terminals.
The eight-member delegation will be led by Hon Vincent FANG Kang, Chairman of the CI Panel and member of the ES Panel. Other members include Hon Jeffrey LAM Kin-fung, deputy delegation leader as well as Chairman of the ES Panel and member of the CI Panel; Hon WONG Ting-kwong, Deputy Chairman of the CI Panel and member of the ES Panel; Hon Timothy FOK Tsun-ting, member of the CI Panel; Hon Andrew LEUNG Kwan-yuen, member of the CI Panel and the ES Panel; Hon James TIEN Pei-chun, member of the ES Panel; Hon Howard YOUNG, member of the ES Panel; and Hon Mrs Selina CHOW LIANG Shuk-yee, non-Panel member.

- Visit Dubai Cruise Terminal at Port Rashid
- Meet with Dubai Chamber of Commerce and
Industry
- Meet with Dubai World Trade Centre LLC
- Visit Airport Expo and the site of Dubai

(B) Barcelona (August 23 to 25)
- Meet with MedCruise (the Association of
Mediterranean Cruise Ports)
- Meet with the Port of Barcelona
- Meet with Costa Crociere
- Visit International Cruise Terminal B in the
Port of Barcelona
- Visit International Cruise Terminal D in the
Port of Barcelona
- Visit the Royal Caribbean International in the
Port of Barcelona
(C) Frankfurt (August 26 and 27)

- Meet with Frankfurt City Council

(D) Las Vegas (August 28 and 29)
