Works at subways of Cheung Sha Wan Road gazetted

    The Government published in the Gazette today (August 10) the proposed roadworks for the provision of covers to accesses of subways across Cheung Sha Wan Road at Pei Ho Street and Kweilin Street, Sham Shui Po.

     The proposed works include construction of skylight covers to accesses of the two subways across Cheung Sha Wan Road at Pei Ho Street and Kweilin Street; temporary closure of sections of the existing footpaths and staircases; and ancillary drainage works.

     The construction work is scheduled to commence in early 2008 and expected to be completed by 2009.

     The plans and scheme are available for public inspection at the following Government Offices during office hours:  

(i) Central and Western District Office,
    Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii) Sham Shui Po District Office,
     Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground floor, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Sham Shui Po; and

(iii) District Lands Office, Kowloon West,
    10th Floor, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street, Kowloon.

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both should write to the office of the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong on or before October 9.
