Motorists urged to drive with care on rainy day

Owing to wet weather, motorists are advised to drive with extra care.
Police pointed out that under such conditions, twice the normal stopping distance was required. Motorists are urged to reduce speed and to extend the distance between themselves and the vehicle in front.
For safety reasons, motorists are also advised to turn on headlights to improve visibility while driving.
Pedestrians are advised to take heed of traffic while crossing the roads, particularly at busy junctions or when their view is obstructed.
