Hongkong Post today (August 1) announced details of its new Speedpost Monthly Lucky Draw. In this promotion, for every posting of Speedpost items from August 1 to February 29, 2008, Speedpost customers are entitled to one lucky draw entry for a chance to win prizes. Double entries will be granted for postings sent to specified destinations each month.
A total of eight lucky draws will be conducted, one for each of the seven months during the promotional period plus a Mega Lucky Draw next February. Customers entering at least one of the seven monthly draws will automatically be entered in the Mega Lucky Draw with an opportunity to win $50,000 in prizes. All customers are required to register for the monthly lucky draw on the Speedpost website. Speedpost non-account customers need to register their posting details online on or before specific deadlines for each lucky draw. Account customers only need to register once and then their subsequent posting records will automatically be counted for entries during the promotion period. The more Speedpost items customers post, the greater the chance they have to win a prize.
The grand prizes vary from month to month and include round-trip air tickets for two to Shanghai, Los Angeles, Osaka, Seoul, Sydney, London and Barcelona. The second prizes for each month include gifts and cash coupons. The winner of the Mega Lucky Draw Grand Prize will receive a Caribbean Cruise Package for two valued at $50,000. The Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development), Mr Dan Choi said the Speedpost service had achieved outstanding performance and received "Gold Level Certification" from the Universal Postal Union for five consecutive years since 2002. "We are proud of our reputation and wish to promote the use of Speedpost to our customers who can benefit by its efficiency. This lucky draw is designed to encourage more customers to use the service," Mr Choi said.

The schedule and arrangements for lucky draws can be found on the Speedpost website (www.hongkongpost.com/speedpost). The results of each lucky draw will be announced in The Standard and Sing Tao Daily newspapers and on the Speedpost website in the next calendar month following each lucky draw. Winners will be notified by letter.
