Construction Industry Council meets tomorrow

The following is issued on behalf of the Construction Industry Council:

     The Construction Industry Council (CIC) will meet tomorrow (July 26) at 2.30 pm in Room 1201, 12/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.

     The agenda items include:

(1) Guidelines for prevention of heatstroke and other heat-induced accidents on construction sites;

(2) Preparation for amalgamation with CITA;

(3) Second progress report of Committee on Environment and Technology; Committee on Administration and Finance; and Committee on Construction Site Safety;

(4) First progress report of Liaison Group on Amalgamation at Board Level (CIC-side);

(5) Report to CIC on meeting between CIC and CITA on amalgamation held on July 17, 2007; and

(6) Setting up of amalgamation team.

     People are welcome to observe the proceedings of the meeting. Due to physical constraints of the venue, seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

     The discussion on the last three items will not be open to the public in view of privacy and commercial sensitivity.
