The Buildings Department approved 13 building plans in June - eight on Hong Kong Island, two in Kowloon and three in the New Territories.
Of the approved plans, eight were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, one was for commercial developments and four were for community services developments.
In the same month, consent was given for work to start on 18 building projects that, when completed, would provide 339,043 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 4,421 units, and 82,343 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use. The department has received notification of commencement of work for 12 building projects.
The department also issued 10 occupation permits - one on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and five in the New Territories.
Of the buildings certified for occupation, the gross floor areas for domestic use were 55,642 square metres, involving 370 units, and 157,020 square metres for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of the new buildings completed in June totalled about $3.4 billion.
In addition, 11 demolition consents involving 11 building structures were issued.
The department received 1,983 complaints against unauthorised building works in June, and issued 2,316 removal orders on unauthorised works.
