The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department today (July 20) strongly advised people to stop all water-based activities in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park following sightings of a juvenile shark in the park again this afternoon.
The shark, about two to three feet long, was sighted near the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Life Centre about 4pm and 5pm.
A department spokesman said people should refrain from swimming, diving or any other water-based activities in the park for the time being, not even in shallow water.
"For their own safety, people in the water in the park will be asked by our patrol staff to leave the water immediately," the spokesman said.
