The Lands Department registered 17 lease modifications and one land exchange in the Land Registry during the quarter ending June, 2007, of which 11 were for residential purpose and seven for non-residential development.
Among these 18 land transactions, eight are located on Hong Kong Island, six in Kowloon and four in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
Another three lots were granted by private treaty during the period. One was for the residential development in Site C of the KCRCˇ¦s Tai Wai Maintenance Centre in Sha Tin; one was granted to MTRC in Tseung Kwan O, Area 56 for the commercial/residential development and the last one was for public housing development to Hong Kong Housing Authority.
A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (July 16) that the 21 land transactions realised a total land premium of about $8.7 billion.
Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants are uploaded onto Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Further case details may also be obtained by searching the registered documents directly in the Land Registry.
