The first quarter 2007 issue of the Quarterly Supplement to Statistical Digest of the Services Sector is published by the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) today (July 12). This issue is now available for download (in PDF format) free of charge at the website of C&SD (www.censtatd.gov.hk/products_and_services/products/publications/index.jsp).
This issue of the Quarterly Supplement provides some up-to-date quarterly statistics (from the fourth quarter of 2005 to the first quarter of 2007) on the 14 major service industries/domains of Hong Kong presented in the Statistical Digest of the Services Sector.
Besides, two feature articles are also included in this issue. The article on "Maritime Transport and Related Services Sector" describes the performance of the maritime transport and related services sector during 1996 to 2006 and its recent development. Another article on "Statistics on Tourism" analyses the development of tourism in Hong Kong during the period from 1996 to 2006.
The print version of this publication will also be available for sale at HK$58 per copy in July 2007. Purchase can be done in the following ways:
(i) Purchase in person at the Publications Unit of the C&SD (Address: 19/F Wanchai Tower, 12 Harbour Road, Wan Chai; Tel: 2582 3025).
(ii) Complete a mail order form which is available for downloading at the website of the C&SD (www.censtatd.gov.hk/products_and_services/other_services/provision_of_stat/mail_ordering_of_publications/index.jsp) and return it to C&SD.
(iii) Purchase online at the Statistical Bookstore of the C&SD (www.statisticalbookstore.gov.hk) or the Government Bookstore of the Information Services Department (www.bookstore.gov.hk). Print version if purchased online is offered a discount and is sold at 85% of its original price.
