Sightings of juvenile sharks in Hoi Ha
**************************************

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) today (July 8) strongly advised people to stop all sorts of water-based activities in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park following sightings of two juvenile sharks in the park again this afternoon.

The sharks, about two-feet and three-feet long, were sighted by AFCD staff near the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Life Centre from 4.15 pm to 4.42 pm.

A department spokesman said the public should refrain from swimming, diving or any other water-based activities in the park for the time being, not even in shallow waters.

"For their own safety, people found staying in the water in the park will be asked by our patrol staff to leave water immediately," the spokesman added.
