Sightings of juvenile sharks in Hoi Ha
**************************************

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department today (July 4) strongly advised people to stop all sorts of water-based activities in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park following the sightings of two juvenile sharks in the park again this afternoon.

A two-feet long shark was sighted by department staff near the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Life Centre at 4.30pm. Shortly after, another juvenile shark, about four feet long, was sighted nearby.

A department spokesman said people should refrain from swimming, diving or any other water-based activities in the park for the time being, not even in shallow waters.

"For their own safety, people found in the water in the park will be asked by our patrol staff to leave the water immediately," the spokesman said.
