The Government today (June 28) announced that the Chief Executive had appointed the Secretary for Transport and Housing (STH) as the Chairman of the Housing Authority, effective on July 1.
A government spokesman said that the Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands was the incumbent Chairman of the Housing Authority. With the re-organisation of the policy bureaus of the Government Secretariat with effect from July 1, the Secretary for Transport and Housing (designate), Ms Eva Cheng, will take charge of housing policy.
The Chief Executive paid warm tribute to the outgoing chairman, Mr Michael Suen, for his invaluable contributions to the authority during the past four years.
