Limited time slots are still available for badminton and other activities as part of the free admission on July 1 and 2 to indoor sports facilities operated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
The bookings for free admission to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the HKSAR have been well-received by the public but there are limited time slots left.
People can still book table tennis tables, squash courts, American pool tables, indoor bowling greens and so on and take the opportunity to exercise with family members or friends on July 1 and 2. Bookings can be made at any of the Leisure Link counters.
The indoor sports facilities to be opened free on July 1 and 2 include 88 sports centres, 19 badminton, squash and table tennis venues, Queen Elizabeth Stadium (badminton courts, squash courts and table tennis room) and 36 public swimming pools (except Wan Chai).
People can still make bookings of the facilities at any of the Leisure Link counters on a first-come, first-served basis. Booking services on internet and telephone will not be provided. Hirers have to produce their identification document (or copy) when making a booking. Each person can book only one session of one facility for each of the two days. When there is a queue at the booking counter, each person can book only one session of one facility per visit.
For free admission to the department's swimming pools, no prior booking is required. Interested parties can go directly to the swimming pools during the opening hours on July 1 and 2.
