An Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) spokesman announced today (June 25) that the fort and Information Centre of Tung Lung Fort on Tung Lung Chau would be temporarily closed in two phases for renovations. The fort will be closed from June 27 to August 12 and the Information Centre will close from August 13 to September 1.
The AMO apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The Information Centre, adjacent to the fort, displays history of the fort with illustrated panel texts. It opens from 9am to 4pm daily and is closed on Tuesdays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and the first three days of the Chinese New Year. Admission is free. For enquiries, call 2208 4400.
