The Labour Department will stage a two-day job fair on Tuesday and Wednesday (June 26 and 27) at Tuen Mun Town Hall, providing more than 2,000 vacancies for job-seekers.
Nineteen companies from the retail, catering as well as property management and security sectors will set up recruitment booths at the venue on each day of the event for on-the-spot job applications.
The vacancies cover such positions as sales, telesales, shop assistant, customer service officer, waiter, cook, security guard, technician, officer, shop manager and manager trainee.
About 90% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs, with a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $9,000. More than 90% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.
A list of the participating companies and the vacancies offered has been uploaded onto the Labour Department's website. Interested job-seekers may visit the website at www.jobs.gov.hk.
The two-day job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at the Exhibition Gallery, first floor, Tuen Mun Town Hall, 3 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun, New Territories. Admission is free.
