The following is issued on behalf of the Electoral Affairs Commission:
The Electoral Affairs Commission will hold a public forum on Friday (June 22) on the Proposed Guidelines on Election-related Activities in respect of the District Council Election.
Commission chairman Mr Justice Pang Kin-kee and member Professor Andrew Chan Chi-fai will chair the forum and hear the representations. The forum will begin at 2.30pm in the commission's conference room at 10/F Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai.
All interested individuals and parties are invited to express their views at the forum. Supporting or different views are welcome.
The proposed guidelines were released on June 7 for public consultation until July 6.
Written representations can be sent to the commission's secretariat at 10/F Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. Submissions by fax (2511 1682) or email (eacenq@reo.gov.hk) are also welcome.
