Renovation works at To Kwa Wan Public Library

    Renovation works at To Kwa Wan Public Library to provide better library facilities would begin on July 1, a spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 20).

     The renovation works will be implemented in two phases and are expected to be completed in eight months.

     The first phase will start from July 1. The Students' Study Room, the Audio-visual Library and the Extension Activities Room will be temporarily closed during the renovation. Other library services will remain as normal.

     The second phase will start in mid-October, during which, the Students' Study Room will be used as a temporary library to provide limited services on lending, reference and information, readers' advisory, newspapers and periodicals, reservation, self-service photocopying, Internet and self-charging services. A book drop service will be available after the library opening hours.

     The opening hours of the library will remain unchanged during the whole renovation period.
