The Lands Department this afternoon (June 12) held the third land auction of the 2007-2008 financial year. A Government lot in West Kowloon Reclamation Area was sold for $5.56 billion.
The lot, Kowloon Inland No 11146, at Hoi Fai Road, West Kowloon Reclamation Area was sold to Smart Globe Limited at $5.56 billion. The opening bid was $4.2 billion. Kowloon Inland No 11146 has a site area of about 11,353 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding hotel, cinema, petrol filling station and godown) purposes. A minimum gross floor area of 51,088 square metres must be completed.
The auction was conducted at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui by Assistant Director of Lands, Mr Chris Mills, assisted by Chief Estate Surveyor Ms Anita Lam.
