EMSD investigates into the fall of cable car cabin

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department will investigate into the cause leading to the fall from height of an empty cabin of Ngong Ping 360 during a test this evening (June 11).
Engineers of the department went to the scene immediately to inspect the site and examine the concerned cabin after being notified by Skyrail of the incident.
A spokesman for the department said," We are very concerned. To ensure public safety, until the cause of the incident is known and we are certain that the cable car can operate safely, the Government will not allow it to resume operation."
