The following is issued on behalf of the Construction Industry Council:
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) will meet tomorrow (June 11) at 10am in Room 1201, 12/F., Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.
The agenda items include:
(1) Terms of reference and membership of committees;
(2) First progress report of Committees on Subcontracting; Administration and Finance; Procurement; Construction Site Safety; Environment and Technology; Manpower Training and Development.
(3) Amalgamation with the Construction Industry Training Authority;
(4) Administrative and financial arrangements for CIC;
(5) Setting up of amalgamation team;
(6) Proposed funding arrangements; and
(7) Recruitment of Executive Director - latest position.
The public are welcome to observe the proceedings of the meeting. Due to physical constraints of the venue, seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
The discussion on the last three items will not be open to the public in view of privacy and commercial sensitivity.
