The Commissioner for Tourism, Miss Au King-chi, spoke on "Creating a Shopping Paradise" at the World Tourism Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today (June 5).
The conference, held by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) from June 4 to 6 in Kuala Lumpur, brings together tourism leaders to share their experiences in tourism planning, development and marketing.
During her visit, Miss Au had a bilateral meeting with the Secretary-General of UNWTO, Mr Francesco Frangialli, to exchange views on latest tourism trends and co-operation between Hong Kong and UNWTO on managing tourism growth. She also paid a courtesy call on the Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Hon Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
