CE to visit Beijing, Tianjin and attend Pan-PRD Forum in Hunan

    The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will leave for Beijing next Tuesday (June 5) to attend a forum on the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the Basic Law organised by the Central People's Government.

     After attending the forum on June 6, Mr Tsang will travel later that day to Tianjin, where he will visit infrastructure facilities and local enterprises to learn more about developments in the city. He will attend the "Fourth Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Regional Co-operation and Development Forum" in Hunan on June 8.

     In Hunan, Mr Tsang will address the PPRD Leaders' Forum on June 9. He will deliver a speech in a dialogue with "9+2" leaders and officials from ministries of commerce of ASEAN countries on June 10 and will also attend a joint conference with leaders of the governments of the nine Pan-PRD provinces and the Macao Special Administrative Region.

     During the visit to Beijing, Mr Tsang will be accompanied by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Rafael Hui, the Secretary for Justice, Mr Wong Yan Lung and the Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam. Senior Government officials attending the forum in Hunan include the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph Wong; the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Frederick Ma and the Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam.

     Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on June 11.
