SCS offers deepest condolences

    The Secretary for the Civil Service, Miss Denise Yue, today (May 22) offered her deepest condolences to the family of fireman Wong Ka-hei who died while battling the overpowering heat of flames in extinguishing a fire in Tsuen Wan early this morning.

     Miss Yue said, "On behalf of the Civil Service, I offer my deepest condolences to his family."

     Miss Yue also expressed sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of six injured firemen.

     "The Civil Service Bureau has been in contact with the Fire Services Department and will make every effort to help the families of the deceased and the injured firemen during this sad and difficult period."
