Two more female patients (aged 34 and 47) presented with fever and upper respiratory tract infection symptoms. They are in stable condition and are being treated under isolation. There are 16 patients presented with the above symptoms since May 8 and the test results of five patients are positive to para-influenza.

Infection control measures have been stepped up in the wards and all patients and health care staff are under close medical surveillance.

SLH has reported the cases to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow up.
