Installation works for salt water main in Tuen Mun

    The Government intends to install a salt water main in So Kwun Tan Nullah, Tuen Mun, for the purpose of effecting salt water supply to Tin Shui Wai, the eastern part of Tuen Mun New Town and Tuen Mun East areas.

     The installation works of the salt water main, which will affect an area of about 839 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed at So Kwun Tan Nullah, is scheduled to commence at the end of 2007 and to be completed by mid 2011.

     A notice describing the extent of area affected is published in the Government Gazette today (May 11).

     The notice together with a related plan can be seen on notice boards posted near the site.  The plan can also be seen at the Lands Department's Survey and Mapping Office, 23rd Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road and the Tuen Mun District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, 2nd Floor, Tuen Mun Government Offices, 1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun.

     Any person who has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved can submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20th Floor, North Point Government Offices, on or before July 11.
