Approved Tai Mong Tsai and Tsam Chuk Wan Outline Zoning Plan amended

   The Town Planning Board today (May 4) announced amendments to the approved Tai Mong Tsai and Tsam Chuk Wan Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

    The amendment involves rezoning an area at Pak Tam from "Green Belt" to "Government, Institution or Community (1)".  

    Amendments have also been made to the Notes of the Plan.  They include incorporation of the Notes for the "Government, Institution or Community (1)" zone; revision to the definition of "existing building" in the covering Notes; and refinement to the Remarks of the Notes for the "Green Belt", "Conservation Area", "Coastal Protection Area" and "Coastal Protection Area (1)" zones to clearly reflect the intended control on filling of land, filling of pond and excavation of land.

    The draft Tai Mong Tsai and Tsam Chuk Wan OZP No. S/SK-TMT/3, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, the Sai Kung District Office, and the Sai Kung Rural Committee.

    Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before July 4. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be made available for public inspection.

    Copies of the draft plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plan can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website at http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb/.
