The Lands Department registered 13 lease modifications and one land exchange in the Land Registry during the quarter ending March, 2007, of which seven were for residential purpose and seven for non-residential development.
Among these 14 land transactions, four are located on Hong Kong Island, eight in Kowloon and two in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
Another four lots were granted by private treaty during the period. One was for electricity substation in Kowloon, and the other three for public housing developments to Hong Kong Housing Authority.
A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (April 16) that the 18 land transactions realised a total land premium of about $1.02 billion.
Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants are uploaded onto Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Further case details may also be obtained by searching the registered documents directly in the Land Registry.
